Writer’s Block? Here’s How To Get You Out Of The Funk

Have you ever gone through a creative funk where you are just out of ideas and can’t reach your creative side, or you can’t determine your content writing strategy ? Well most of us who are writers, content creators and anyone that needs to be in touch with their creative side goes through a creative funk every once in a while. 

Specifically for writers, sometimes we feel as if we don’t ever want to write again, and we don’t have the inspiration to continue writing, and this may affect our income as the quantity and quality of our work decreases. To avoid this from happening, there are a few ways that can help you get out of your writing funk, which are:

#1 Take A Break From Writing

You should take a break from writing if you’re going  through a writing funk, as you can take a break from it and focus on other things. You just need to get your mind off the topic you’re writing about and focus your energy on other things. This will help you focus better on your work once you get back to it after your break. 

#2 Exercise A Little Bit

Exercising helps us get our blood flowing, which will help us relax and get active. Exercising will help you get out of your writing funk, as it makes you feel more active and relaxed after you are done with your workout. 

#3 Take A Shower

You should take a shower if you are stuck while writing, as it helps you feel relaxed. Taking a long and relaxing shower helps you feel calm, and it can help you get right back to writing, feeling relaxed and rejuvenated to continue writing.

#4 Stay Away From The Internet

Being on the Internet means you will be looking at other topics that are related to the topic that you are writing on. To get out of your writing funk, you should stay off the Internet, so you can focus on your writing. 

#5 Free Write Through It

If you are stuck while writing, you can just free write through the rest of your article, blog or story. This can help you get out of your writing funk because you will be able to freely write what you want on your article, and it will also help you get back on track. 

#6 Map Out Your Story

If you are lost before you start writing, you should map out your story and list down the points that you are going to write on in a chronological order. This will allow you to plan your points before you start writing. 

#7 Don’t Start At The Beginning

If you can’t figure out how to start writing on a certain topic, you can choose to start from the middle of your story or even start by writing the ending of your story. The more you start to write, the beginning of your story will become clear to you, and you won’t have a problem finishing your writing. 

#8 Read or Watch Relatable Content

Sometimes you might get stuck while writing, and you just don’t know what to continue writing with, and you are just out of inspiration. To get out of this, you can read articles or watch some videos that are related to your topic to get some inspiration on what you are writing, and this can help you continue with your writing. 

There are many ways for you to get out of your writing funk, and you should try to get out of your writing funk as soon as possible, as it may affect our daily lives.
