Cerebellar’s Year-in Review: Adieu 2020

Change is constant as it is inevitable, and 2020 proved that the notion has never been more true. Without a doubt, 2020 has been the most challenging year of the decade for businesses across the board. The year had businesses hailing from all industries and of all sizes put their agility, and resilience to the test to stay afloat by scaling down as the pandemic demanded business to do more with less.

Nevertheless, 2020 did not hinder Cerebellar Sdn Bhd from expanding our wings, and continued to achieve milestone after milestone. With the help of our ace clients, and partners, we steadily delivered on our mission to help make the lives of businesses easier by providing quality-driven services at competitive prices.

Our joy is not only exclusive to our ability to facilitate our clients’, and partners’ business growth despite the ongoing pandemic; we have managed to navigate through the troubling time, and, we dare say that we have positioned ourselves as the white and shining armour for businesses to stay afloat in an economy that has been unforgiving, and responsible for many to exit the market.

Adapting With the Pandemic

When the pandemic hit us, we immediately acknowledged the importance of mobilising policies that enabled us to help our clients, and partners without compromising our business operations or our employee’s health, and well-being. 

That is why we quickly implemented a telework policy, that permitted all our employees to work from home, including our tele-communication executives, which continues to be in effect until today. While most companies have their staff working on rotation, we continue to offer our employees to work full-time with their productivity, and output being closely monitored through productivity software, and daily reports. 

But, despite the policy, workplace safety continues to be our priority. We make a point to ensure that our office complies with the SOPs; from checking the employee’s temperature, to sanitising their hands prior entering the premise, we also ensure that all our employees are informed of the warning signs, and symptoms while our management team drafted an action plan in the event of emergencies.

Our Key Milestones

To say that the pandemic threw a wrench into our plans is an understatement. Our talented and diverse team were ready to dominate 2020 — with guns-blazing — by achieving milestones, and setting new goals, and standards.

Despite the hindrance, and uncertainty that followed the pandemic, we successfully formed sustaining, and fruitful partnerships with three new clients: an IT client, and accounting firm, and a digital marketing agency.

Additionally, the pandemic also served as an opportunity for us to strategise how we can re-emphasise our mission amidst the pandemic, which encouraged us to expand our service scopes with existing clients as well, and simultaneously, helped their business to prosper even more.

How We Helped Our Clients and Partners

Our internal changes, and new policies proved to be the right call as our agility, and quick reaction to adapt to the circumstances benefited our clients and partners. As soon as we mobilised a stable remote workforce, we were able to seamlessly continue servicing our clients, so much so that we were able to expand our team.

While the majority of companies were forced to downsize, we on the other hand fought tooth and nail to retain our staff, while increasing both the content writing and telemarketing arm by 50%.

With our clients trust, we proudly would like to stress that we were able to expand our team with the purpose to help service their projects — a fruitful partnership, that we are pleased to end the year with.

What Is Next For Cerebellar?

2020 spotlighted the immense importance for us to constantly evolve, with or without unprecedented circumstances. That is why in 2021, we aim to diversify our services. In fact, we have already kick-started researches, and analytical studies that will facilitate us to assess the market’s needs, and we are already cooking up new offerings. To top it all off, we also believe in the importance of synergy, and cohesive partnership in paving a new future for businesses of all scales and sizes. We saw how the pandemic have wreaked havoc across the board, to a point businesses had to make operational cuts to prevent from ceasing operations. That is why, we firmly believe that outsourcing agencies are capable to help businesses recover through assuming certain operational processes.

The impact of 2020 has upended old practices that have long been deemed as the norm in the outsourcing industry.
